The Owner rents to the Renter an Epson FastFoto FF-680W Wireless High-Speed Photo Scanner (Model FF-680W) and included accessories (power cable/adapter & USB cable) (the "Equipment").
The rental period begins on the pickup date selected and ends on the return date selected, unless extended in writing at least 24 hours in advance. Late returns may incur additional fees.
The rental fee is due in full at the time of booking. Only cash payments qualify for any cash discount. Non-cash payments include Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, Discover, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal.
The Renter acknowledges the Equipment is in good working order at pickup. Any existing issues must be documented in writing at the start of the rental.
Failure to follow these rules may result in forfeiture of the security hold and additional repair or replacement fees.
The Owner is not responsible for any damage or loss of photos, media, or digital files scanned by the Renter. The Renter assumes full responsibility for use of the Equipment and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Owner from claims, damages, or losses arising from use or misuse of the Equipment. The Owner’s maximum liability is limited to the total rental fee paid. This section survives termination of the Agreement.
If the Equipment is damaged, lost, or stolen, the Renter agrees to pay repair or replacement cost up to the current retail value (estimated at $599.99 as listed by the manufacturer). The Renter must notify the Owner immediately in such cases.
The Equipment must be returned in the same condition as rented, excluding normal wear and tear.
A cleaning or refurbishment fee may be charged if the Equipment is returned dirty, damaged by debris, or poorly maintained.
The Equipment is rented “as-is” with no warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.
The Owner may terminate this Agreement and repossess the Equipment if the Renter fails to comply with any terms. Termination for breach may result in processing the security hold as a non-refundable charge and pursuing additional legal remedies to recover damages.
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California, with venue in Santa Clara County.
This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties and may only be modified in writing.
The Owner will provide a live demonstration of the Equipment at pickup. By proceeding with the rental, the Renter acknowledges having reviewed and accepted these terms and agrees the Equipment is in working order, subject to normal latent defects.
By completing this booking, the Renter authorizes the Owner to use the contact information provided (including email address and mobile phone number) for essential rental-related communications such as booking confirmations, pickup instructions, return reminders, and follow-up messages regarding the condition or status of the Equipment.
The Renter also agrees that the Owner may send optional messages such as satisfaction surveys, Google review requests, and occasional promotional offers related to future rental services. The Renter may opt out of non-essential promotional messages at any time.
